"Thank you very much for making ACAP happen! When you first
said that these five days were going to have something in them that I could bring to the rest of my life, I confess that I
was skeptical. By the end of the week, I remembered those words and realized the truth in them. Thank you to everyone
who volunteered their time. I am more certain than I was before about pursuing a career in accounting. I didn't
know that accounting could be such a flexible business career. The different speakers were all proof of how useful a
background in accounting can be in the business world. This fall when I enter the University of Washington, I am going
to apply early to the business school. ACAP helped me sort out my priorities and helped clarify my goals."

"I wanted to thank you for the ACAP program. It has been about 19 years since I attended
the very first ACAP program in the summer of 1982. Through the years, I have seen ACAP grow from 20-25 participants
to hundreds of alumni, and each year seeing more students turning out for the summer program. There is no doubt in my
mind that you were instrumental in getting the program off the ground and for the continued success that the program
is today. This program has personally affected me. After high school I attended the University of Washington and
received my business degree with a concentration in accounting. I've worked in public accounting, started an accounting
services business, and from there I went into the biotechnology industry where I helped take a company public. Today
I manage the finances for an S&P 500 company here in Seattle. I owe the beginning of my career to the influences
that the ACAP program had on me when I was still in high school. I am sure that there are plenty of other ACAP participants
